What do you do when your ring is both too large and too small?
Ladies and gentlemen! How many of you have a special ring in your jewelry box that you no longer wear either because you can’t get the ring over your knuckle or, because you had it sized large enough to get over your knuckle, it spins around your finger that the stones are always at one side or another? There is a solution available that allows you to wear that ring again!
Images Jewelers has available a special type of ring shank (the bottom half of a ring) that works on a hinge and latch mechanism that opens up to go onto your finger where the ring sits instead of having to slide over a knuckle. This way a ring can be sized to your real finger size, not a “too-large” size that allows the ring to spin on your finger. Determining your true finger size is also easy using a special sizing device that is similar to how the finished ring works.
These special shanks are available in 14 and 18 Karat yellow and white gold, as well as platinum. Shank widths start at 2.5 millimeters and go up to 10 millimeters. Having you ring retrofitted with one of these shanks can be done for an average of $1,000 depending on the metal and the width of the shank.
You don’t have to be old or arthritic to benefit from one these shanks. High profile people who have had these shanks added to their rings include singer Kevin Jonas (The Jonas Brothers), America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, actress Nicolette Sheridan (Knots Landing and Desperate Housewives), and athletes Chase Utley (Philadelphia Phillies) and Brett Favre (Green Bay Packers).
Stop by Images Jewelers for a no cost, no obligation consultation with one of our representatives and find out how these shanks can let you wear again that class ring, wedding ring, or any ring that is still special to you but not wearable.
